Trump has denied Pelosi’s request for the National Guard.
They pushed past over 4 security walls, gangs of police, and busted their way into the front door of the Capitol building, forcing Senators to hide in their offices and they gaveled out of their session for safety. No idea what these absolute hogs are planning to do but it cannot be good, especially since they’re like “no we’re not gonna accept Biden’s inauguration” like holy shit. We were right the entire time. It’s going to be brutal tonight.

The fact that they even let them GET INTO the building is already a massive problem, if there is not actual consequences for this (which there probably will not be), that is fucking precedent. If these freaks realize that they can just do whatever they want, even in one of the most sacred to the establishment buildings in the country, they will turn that energy onto their regular communities in ways that we are not prepared to deal with. I’m genuinely terrified, this is insane, it should not have gotten this far, there is no good outcome here.
The Department of Defense is refusing to send the National Guard, this might actually be a real live coup. They had no problem calling NG on civilian protestors peacefully demonstrating all through last year like… this is absolutely mindboggling I can’t even say anything more than what the fuck
according to twitter, Virginia is sending in their own state guard to try and quell whatever the hell is going on, but i have no idea how it’s going to go
